Terms of service

1.       Terms & Conditions

1.1.    These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Yashwanti London website and your purchase of goods from us. Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. This website is owned and operated by Guru Nanak Couture Limited, which trades as “Yashwanti London”.

2.       How a contract is formed

2.1.  Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email; an order acknowledgement is not acceptance. If we cannot fulfil an order (for example, the item is out of stock or there was a pricing error), we will tell you and refund any payment taken in full.

3.       Eligibility & your account

3.1.    You must be at least 18 to place an order or have the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3.2.    You are responsible for keeping your account details and password secure and for activity under your account.

4.       Products, descriptions & availability

4.1.    We take care to describe and picture products accurately. As our pieces are handcrafted using natural fabrics, slight variations in colour, embroidery and finish are normal and are not defects. Screen settings can also affect how colours appear.

4.2.    All products are subject to availability. We may update, withdraw or change products and prices at any time without notice, though changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

5.       Price, VAT & payment

5.1.    Prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.

5.2.    If we discover an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5.3.    We accept major debit and credit cards and other methods shown at checkout (including Klarna, where eligible), see “Payments & Klarna”. Payment is processed by secure third-party providers; we do not store full card details.

6.       Discount codes & promotions

6.1.   Promotional codes are subject to their own terms, cannot be used in conjunction with other offers unless stated, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn at any time. One code per order unless stated otherwise.

6.2.   Delivery, risk & title - Delivery is governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Risk passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we receive payment in full.

7.       Cancellation, returns & your consumer rights

7.1.    Your right to cancel, return and obtain refunds, repairs or replacements is set out in our Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy and is protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights.

8.       Intellectual property & acceptable use

8.1.    All content on our website (text, images, logos, designs) is owned by or licensed to Guru Nanak Couture Limited and may not be copied or used commercially without our written permission.

8.2.   You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful purposes.

9.       Our liability

9.1.    We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses (we supply to consumers for domestic and private use).

10.   Events outside our control

10.1. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example extreme weather, courier disruption, customs or supply issues). We will let you know and, where appropriate, offer a refund.

11.   Complaints, governing law & changes

11.1. Complaints: contact us at hello@yashwanti.com. We aim to resolve concerns promptly and fairly.

11.2. Governing law: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction; this does not remove statutory protections available to you in your own part of the UK.

11.3. Changes: we may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you order applies to that order.
